Body Fat: Is it Going Away? (No Comments)

Now that you are up and about exercising, running, swimming, biking, and of course working out your abdominal muscles with your always reliable Bender Ball, you probably want to get a good handle on how you are doing with your body fat. Unfortunately protable body fat analyzers are notoriously unreliable. But there are some methods of calculating body fat that your doctor might want to do with you.

DXA stands for Dual energy X-ray absorption. Using X-ray technology this method can give detailed information about the comparative amounts of fat, muscle and bone you are harboring in different parts of your body.

Ever wonder what a “Bod Pod” was for? This egg-shaped device performs ‘air displacement plethysmography’ on your unsuspecting body.  It sounds complicated, but really all it is is the bod measuring weight (duh) and your volume, (how much space you take up- air displacement) whose two numbers give the density of your bod. Once the device knows your density, it can figure out how much of you is fat.

Another way to figure your density is by weighing you underwater. While seated on a special chair it is possible to calculate your underwater weight, which is your density. Just like in the above mentioned method, once your density is known it is an easy thing to calculate the percentage of the body which is fat.

Any Friend of Bender Ball is a Friend of Mine (No Comments)

After my wife and I watched the Bender Ball video on Youtube we became intriqued, but as I mentioned, I was scarred from my fitness club membership and weightlifting experience.  I couldnt bring myself to jump into this new way of exercising. So, sadly, I let a lot of time go by before I ordered my Bender Ball. But as I mentioned before, my wife had become friendly with the cousin who first told us about the Bender Ball. My wife is a very smart lady, and she invited Nancy, her new friend, over for lunch one Sunday afternoon. And she clevely brought along her Bender Ball. It was so light and easy to take along. Nancy then showed me the way to use it, and I was really astounded! Even I could easily use it. When I did the crunches Nancy explained how there is much less back strain when doing abdominal crunches with a Bender Ball. And there are lots of ways to use it. And best of all, in only about 10 minutes each day you can start to see good results. I was excited and ready to order a Bender Ball of my own.

The End of Crunching, the Beginning of Bender Ball (No Comments)

Let me finish up this discussion of my short weightlifting career before Bender Ball became my exercise of choice.lifting-packages

After my fist two visits to the health club, I got into a kind of routine for about two weeks. I drove over to the health club, either on my way to work or on my home. I spent about a half hour sweating and straining and day dreaming about being anyplace else but there.

Finally my wife said she didn’t like how grumpy I was getting, and I was always tired. I told her I just wasn’t enjoying the lifting weights.

She said it was OK because she had just heard about a great new way to strengthen the abdominal muscles (abs) without having to leave home. That turned out to be the beginning of our Bender Ball exercise experience.

More to come….

Try Bender Ball You’ll Love it! (No Comments)

I’m the last person in the world to try new things. Call me Mr. Skeptical, yep that’s me. Not a creature of change. That was until I met Bender Ball.

I have been hooked for over three years, I can’t believe it myself, I have never given any exercise program a chance for that long. Not weight lifting nor jogging and certainly not swimming. I still visit the pool, go for a run and lift weights but not on a regular schedule. And, when I did do these exercises, I would do them for a few months and then stop, wait a few months or years as is the case in biking and start again.

Bender Ball has been a whole different experience for me. It has become a part of my life that I can actually say that I will never quit, ever. There is really no secret here either why I can say that I won’t get burned out from this and quit like I did with all the other exercises. Though I wold see results with the others, like I would notice a weight loss or build up my chest or arms doing curls with the weights – it just isn’t the same with Bender Ball.

I been successful because I have been consistent and I have able to be consistent because I spend less time working out. It is that simple. It’s definitely about the time it takes me to get through the Bender Ball method. I am done before I know it- within a few minutes it is over and I have gone through the whole Bender fitness routine.

Since I was a kid I dreamed of having flat muscular abs, and I tried everything from sit-ups to leg raises, and nothing got me anywhere near the results I got with bender ball.
